MILD STEEL SCULPTURES

A series forged from mild steel, confronts not only our eye through its form, but also a history of human interventions impact on the land. These vessels are not passive objects; they wrap, pierce, and cut through space, embodying the jagged, dangerous escarpments of pre-colonial Australia and the scars of violence left by its industrial transformation. These vessels emphasise my personal journeys to the Nullarbor where caught in a glimpse are industry scrapes rusted to its core left on remote Australia landscapes.

FACILITY SIRENS FILM SCREENING AND EXHIBITION ©2024

2. FACILITY SIRENS
Facility Sirens —the clash between the rigid and the untamed. A facility stands for control, the world’s structure, the everyday. But the sirens call you away from it all, into something deeper, something that pulls at you with no answers, only movement. Out there, it’s easy to get lost, but maybe that’s the point

Throughout the last three years I’ve put together a surf film. It weaves together the tension of motion and stillness, inviting you to listen, feel, and tune into this new frequency. The entirety of this project is to see and feel the world around you - I present to you all Facility Sirens.
